Lara,

I'm glad to hear that you are getting help for your bleeding problem. It's good you went to the emergency when you did.

Praying that you'll soon be better and on the road to recovery. Yes, always listen to what your body is telling you.

God bless you!

Lara, thank you for posting again. I too am relieved that you didnt listen to the doctor and went to the hospital. You have a little detour on your hyster journey and are now back on the road to recovery. I hope your DH doesn't yell tooooo loudly at your doc.... mine would be livid. (((((hugs)))))

Funny that you sisters mention tolorating tv. I only have what I love on the 2 dvrs and more or less made an edict that if hubby is taking FMLA from work to care for me then it is to care for me... no stress or negativity just lots /loving/sweet kindness and no man tv. And guess what, he actually did /doing it! He says he is tired of dance/music/singing/girly shows but me & our 6yr old love it. No news/sports/murder/mayhem just fun/positive/upbeat and informational, like Dr. Oz & Ellen. Games shows are too noisy for me too. I am thankful hubby loves me that much as he usually stressed and cranky when he is home.

Liz,
I'm so glad that he is there to help you. My husband is home these days, too, but it's because he had a clogged heart artery and had it cleaned out and a stent put in to fix it. He's home on disability until late in May. He's doing very well and is waiting for a schedule for cadiac rehabilitation. And because I'm unemployed I was able to be home for him, too. It's great to have him home as we recuperate together. We're so good together!

Our 3 children are grown and on their own, although they all live about 30 to 45 minutes away from us. His parents are still living--and about 15 minutes away, so that's good, too.

Murray, I posted on FB when I first got out of the hospital and just quit going on there. It drains me. Once I have something fun and postive to post in June or so I will. My grown kids call or text me. I am not good about answering calls or calling back until the next day when I am prepared for a short report. I get some that say, oh once I had everything out I felt so much better and it was easy from then on out. I say I wish it had been so easy for me, some people have better luck,
I need to get back to bed, and I do. lol......

Ruthie,
Does hubby usually work out of town? Mine works/lives in Montana and our house is in Oregon. We live 8 miles from California and I work there. He is usually only home 5days a month. (His job was eliminated from a local company and he found work in Mt) We have 3 kids in their 20s and a 6yr old. 2 live 8hrs drive away in California (college) and one lives 20 min away here in Oregon. I love having hubby home too, I have my old hubby back again, not the cranky one. lol.... I am so glad you have each other to get well together. Isn't a stroke of fate that you two would have major surgeries to improve your health and help you both go into senior years together longer? I wish a long life for both of you. Amen.

Hello ladies, any one have horrible gas? I have never had gas this loud in my life, Im having regular bm's. Im afraid the gas will be this bad when I go back to work in a few weeks. Also it seems my swelly belly is worse then it was my first 2 weeks and I feel like I have pregnant bladder, I pee every 2 hours even at night. And I am more exhausted then the first 2 weeks of my recovery I sleep any where from 5-10 hours a night on and off, then I am up for 2-3 hours then napping again. I feel worse now then the first 2 weeks, any advice would be great. thank you

Evamn
Yes I'm gassy!!!!!! My husband just cracked a joke about I pass more gas than our two boys combined. But I'm not having regular BMs yet. Still taking OTC stool softener. But no luck. And I wake up every two hours to pee at night. I have yet to sleep a consecutive six hours uninterrupted. I have even taken a pain pill. No luck. Hang in there and know you aren't alone. Just take it easy and rest when you can. Blessings!

Nurse, try senna with stool softners im still taking 2 of each before bed and prune juice works well, I mix mine with grape or cranberry juice and of course lots of fiber. I really have learned to like raw veggies and anything with fiber that will get things moving. Just dont over do it or you will be as gassy as a whole football team, Thank you for your response.
