Country Lady, I am so sorry about your Mom, the stress must be unreal at this time with you just having surgery and worrying about her. Maybe you can bring something comfy to sit on and rest up while you visit? Prayers for you, your family and Mom.

Re: Recovery Progress Reports for Hysterectomy dates Apr 02-Apr 08,2012

Afternoon Ladies,

Today was my 3 wk post-op visit. The Doc says I'm healing well and can start resuming normal activities, well most activities anyways. lol No vaginal penetration, but everything else is A-OK. I have another appt in 3 weeks, so we'll see what happens at that one.

I'm feeling pretty good, but have had headaches for the last 2 days and realized that this is when my period would've started. So I'm wondering if my body is still a lil confused but I'm not spotting or anything and forgot to ask the dr about it while I was there. I was also having a little twinge on my right side but nothing really painfull.

I feel for all of you who are having sleep issues.

I've been sleeping like normal. I basically feel like I did before surgery but get tired a wee bit easier. I haven't had any major issues with emotions either, which I am thankful for. the man has been quite good about being careful of the 'feelers'. As a matter of fact, the man told the Doc today that he has only made me cry once since the surgery and the Doc started laughing at how proud he sounded of himself. lol Usually we wrestle like 12 yr olds and I usually end up with a boo boo or 3, but I usually start it so I guess I deserve it. *evil grin*

Have a great night all.

Liz my dear I am not up on all the posts and it looks like you are going through quite a bit. You're such a great inspiration on this site and now you need some support. Oh when you have a shower Liz you will feel wonderful. I'm a bath person myself but that first shower was heaven. I too let most of the water fall on my back. I had stitches not staples. Take it easy and do not travel to far when hubby is gone. Glad to hear you are off the hard painkillers. Here's hoping to a better weak for you and I will pray for no hernia operation.

furelise: no walk today. I'm off tomorrow as long as the rain holds off. 1 day feeling good on antibiotics but still tired. Tomorrow I'm ready to go.

Lara: I did reply to you but I do not see post. I hope all is better with the infections and you see doc again as your meds are basically out. I'm on meds for bowel infection, no discharge other than bleeding. Feel better!!

Kim, so glad the meds are working for the infection. It sounds like you are way ahead of us without brain fog, lucky girl..... maybe not so lucky that you suffered so long with it before... I am hoping this is very temporary condition. But it affords me not to have racing thoughts or emotions. I have never been so carefree in thought.. nice not to be one step ahead for once..

Hi Lara
Yes I have an infected wound site and I am awaiting the results of vaginal swab - Oh my goodness does that smell bad. I am having my wound dressed every couple of days and I am hoping it is not a vaginal infection because I am allergic to just about every known antibiotic, as they found out in the hospital. Did you have any temp?I have no temp but feel lousy and I think the continual fighting off the infection is making my recovery very slow.

Lisa, have you been checked for an UTI? I am so sorry you are depressed, mourning is normal. It is good to talk to your doc about your concerns. Maybe the headaches are from the worrying? Have you considered foster care? Often times it leads into adoption. I know several people including a co-worker who fostered and then adopted.
