Magnificent Monday April 16

Hi everyone!

A little off schedule today, no time for elliptical but did get to Curves. Had Cheerios for breakfast, then I knew I needed protein so took a link of Tofurkey Keilbasa for lunch and had a few nibbles on it during the morning.
So meals today will be some combination of the tofu sausage, cheddar almond cheese, whole grain toast, and a snack bowl of cereal (GoLean with protein). Dinner - salad with tuna and toast

Getting my mind around cutting the calories one more notch. I've been maintaining on 1800-2000 calories a day, and want to drop to 1600-1800 calories. Last year's weight loss was accomplished with 1600-1700 calories. I didn't want to go lower than that and then FEEL limited and FEEL like I was dieting.

With all that said, I need fruit, need to shop for some good stuff. Also I need to get back to my salad lunches which are very satisfying, mentally as well as physically.

Hope you are all having a good day. I have joined the walking challenge again and have confirmed that I need new shoes!

I've missed something....what walking challenge have you joined Desk?

I'm doing good, just seem to be so very busy these last couple of weeks. And I'm heading off to my sister's in Ohio in the morning. I'll be there until later on Sunday. So if I can't get in on her wireless via my iPad, I won't be checking in. She's promised it's going to work this time.

I've gotten my walk in this morning. 3 miles. And I have Zumba at 4:30. It's the only Zumba I might get in this week. I'll take clothes with me, in case I find one near my sister. The one I've done before there won't work with our schedule. So I need to make a few phone calls. But I'll have time to myself during the days so I'll get in good walks and hopefully at least one Zumba.

Hi Nancy, have a good trip, hope your sister's iPad works. Bummer for everyone if it doesn't.

The walking challenge is just something through work that I did last spring and fall. We have teams and we are supposed to walk through Chile, not a straight route, from city to city, about 2500 miles. In 60 days. Last time we walked from London to Lisbon, but my team only made it to some place in Spain, 600 miles short of the goal. Good thing it's virtual travel. Work is just keeping us mindful about getting more steps into our days.

Desk Nancy,

Desk, we did a similiar walking challenge at our office several years ago. I think our was from one the US offices to our Netherlands office. They would post graphs and stuff. It was fun at first, but than my pedometer quit working and I lost interest.

Typical Monday here. We had rain most of the day. Not complaining at all. It stopped just as I was leaving the office. And I only encountered a light drizzle on my way in. It waited until I got to the office for the skies to really open up.

Potatoes for breakfast. Healthy choice country vegetable soup for lunch, smoked turkey for a late morning snack. Than I got hungry around 2pm, saw someone had left some stuff in the lunchroom so had some roast beef with cheese and tomatoes. I'm not hungry right now so don't know what dinner will be.
