Re: I look four-five months pregnant!

My uterus in enlarged too- someone actually wrote to me in an email - "I hope your pregnancy is going well." Some people. I replied back- not pregnant, just fat- but should have said I have large multiple fibroids, so be nice to me!

Re: I look four-five months pregnant!

I am so relieved to read all your replies. I too have a huge swelling above my belly button. I am having a total hysterectomy, both ovaries, everything but I am having to have it "old fashioned" with an up and down incision because of the size of my fibroids and one tumor that is 20 cm!
I know my gyn/onco told me that it was pushing it all up like that and I believed her but until now I haven't heard anyone ever say they had it too.
My doctor directed me to this site and I am so glad.
My surgery is scheduled for May 3rd. Good luck to all!

Re: I look four-five months pregnant!

All this time< i just thought i was a fat cow,but now I am starting to realise it's probably the bag full of fibroids I am carrying round! I have a large one of 7cm at the top of my uterus pushing down, as well as multiple others. When the Dr did that lovely internal to check the placement of my uterus it was very high up, which is why an ablation is not going to work for me, so I am scheduled for surgery on June 13th. This site really helps, when I start flipping out I came here and get encouraged that i don't need to live with these symptoms and that it will get better I honestly never connected the heartburn, big belly, and need to pee to my bad periods, but now it all makes sense!

Re: I look four-five months pregnant!

I know exactly what you mean. I've been suffering with heartburn, pressure on the bladder and extreme cramping pains. Everyone told me it was all in my mind and my partner wasn't very sympathetic either which didn't help. Now at least I know I'm not going made. Absolutely scared stiff when I go for the pre op as that it means its getting closer and think I won't wake up. Seem a bit like life is on hold at the moment.............is it the same for you

Re: I look four-five months pregnant!

Just venting....my doctor had me on birth control pills and told me to skip my period using them. Now that my surgery is booked -May15thI had to stop taking the pill. Thus AF is visiting....I am so bloated my stomach is hard and feels like it is going to explode! My pants don't fit and I am miserable. My uterus must be getting bigger every month. Does skipping a period make the next one worse? Does anyone know?!!

Re: I look four-five months pregnant!

My guess would be yes. We build up endometrial tissue to be shed every month so it would build up making your period heavier. It is true for me anyway.

Re: I look four-five months pregnant!

Life has been kinda strange for me as of late, too, twinkley.

I was getting mighty honkerblonked at some of the people in my life today. Keeping it inside (for the most part), but I've got little patience for the crap right now. Funny how anxiety manifests sometimes.

Re: I look four-five months pregnant!

Hah, I guess there are some words that go through a filter on here - I don't use the word honkerblonk! Well, you can fill in the word that works for you! I didn't think the one I'd originally typed in was that bad ; )
