7 Days TVH

I am 7 days post op tvh. I actually didn't get to much of a choice of having the hysterectomy done, only the way it was done. I was told 3 weeks ago that I had cancer, and I needed to have one because of the type iit was. My husband and I sat down with my Dr and we went over all the types of hyster that could be done. We went with the TVH because we do have kids and my husband travels with work a lot and my Dr said with me already having kids I would probably heal better and quicker. After we researched everything, we told the Dr what we had decided and she set the date. The surgery went well and my recovery, so far, has not been to bad. Now all the emmotional things are starting to set in. I go back to the Dr next week and I have another round of blood work done to make sure I no longer have cancer cells in my blood. I do feel better now than what I had in the last 6 months, so I'm staying positive about it.
