Is this from the IV fluids? I thought taking out some organs would reduce some weight! haha
Any input appreciated!

Yes I gained 14, I'm 5 days post op and have 3lbs to lose to be my pre op weight. And I'm not eating near as much as I used to...feeling bloated hurts worse than anything now a days!!

Re: Recovery Progress Reports for Hysterectomy dates May 14-May 20,2012

Tonight is my first night back to work. I am sitting on a Boppy pillow for comfort. At first I was not sure if I was going to be able to work or not, but as the night has gone on the pain has eased up. I just have to remember not to sit for long periods of time tonight. The good thing is that I am only working 4-6 hours so that is good. But still in pain, LOL. I am ready for the pain to end. All I have taken today is Motrin 800 and by 4pm I was crying and had to take Lortab and go to bed for a while.

Is true shortness of breath where you just cannot seem to get enough air? I seem to be having to take deep breaths constantly because I feel like I am not getting enough air.

Are you short of breath after the lortab? That could be the problem. I have percocet and it sorta makes me have to think about taking deeper breaths.

No, it is all the time. I have only taken 2 Lortab today and that was earlier today. I just feel like I am not getting enough air breathing normally. I have to take deep breaths through my mouth and even then it feels like not enough air. Guess I will call Dr in the morning and see what they say.

I am now 8 days post op today. Had the laparoscopic partial hysterectomy. I was doing really great until yesterday....I sneezed!! omg! that hurt so bad, and burned near my left incision. Now everytime I turn from side to side or cough I have an excrutiating pain or burning sensation. Please tell me I do not have a hernia!!

Do you have issues with anxiety? I do and sometimes I have that feeling of not being able to get a full breath. Like my breathing is shallow.

Well, I ended up in the ER last night with a fever and sharp pain in my abdomen. It turned out to be a UTI. I guess it is pretty common after surgery. I got a dose of meds at the hospital and I feel better this morning. Just exhausted. Thank God my aunt is here taking care of me!
