Please give me some advice here ladies

Oh my good lord ladies I'm going insane! I'm 24 have my LAVh and BSO 2/29/12. I have been in a constant battle with my hormones since then. Insurance wouldn't cover gel, generic patches caused rashes on skin, vivelle not approved by insurance anymore, and I refuse to take the pill because it is worse for you I've read and I smoke. So here I am going on week three with no hormones since they no longer help with the vivelle dot and I don't know what to do with myself. Hot flashes, mood swings, my knees hurts, my back muscles all sore everything is just so absolutely horrible right now. Hell I'm crying while typing this. After I healed from surgery I felt better then I had in such a long time, I was on cloud nine! Now I wish I had never had it. I'm so miserable and I feel like an old woman when I'm still so young! My oldest child is six and my youngest 18 months, I'm a wreck when it comes to them now, moody, and have no patience. I need some advice here ladies please!!

Re: Please give me some advice here ladies

LS...Sorry you're struggling so much. You are way too young to not use hrt. It is important for you to keep your body healthy. Can't your Dr advocate for you by talking with your insurance company? Mine did because the "usual" hrt wasn't working for me so she advocated for me. Your insurance company doesn't cover Estrogel? Can you get a list of what they do approve? Don't give up....go back to the Dr and work something out...there is always a way.

Re: Please give me some advice here ladies

Some ladies are able to get Vivelle samples from the Dr----might be worth asking about? (Mine doesn't give samples but yours might). Also some drug companies give discounts to underinsured, you might look into that. Also there are other patches besides generic and Vivelle, what about those brands? I wish I could help more, but that might be a start.
