Sever vaginal dryness

Hello Ladies,
It has been a very long time since I visited HysterSisters. 12 years ago I had a total H. Fast forward to now. The last few months I have been off and on dry like irratated vaginal issues. Usually it would burn, then go away and I would not have a problem for a long time. 8 months ago I came down with a bad UTI. I am being treated for another one right now. BUT, the last 4 weeks my vaginal burning is constant. I am using Vit E and organic virgin coconut oil for relief. I have been reading about hormonal imblances. Seems to be not being on any HRT I am getting bad symptoms of low estrogen. It is just vaginal symptoms. I get zero hot flashes. But I have been having terrible time with depression, due to sever family issues. Anxiety like crazy, even close to having full blown panic attacks. The symptom of the dryness is very upsetting. I have a Dr.s appt. June 4. So I am going to talk to her about estrogen. I want to go bioidentical. I believe it is called Estroil?? Do anyof you use this for dry vaginal symptoms. Do anyof you suffer constant vaginal irratation? I really feel like I need to connect with women who are having this problem. Hear is another sad thing, I have not been able to have regular vaginal sex with my husband for years. I am so wanting to cure this. After surgery, I had a fistula, it is a small leakage of urine. Dr.s wanted to see if it would heal. After this long I am ready to go back and have it fixed. I have no insurance, so everything is going to take time as I pay for each thing. Very depressing indeed. Right now I find the coconut oil to be the best to relieve the irratation if I just sit after I put it in. But walking to much, it is back. I have started a natural vitamins and herbs to help with bringing my estrogen back up also. Any help would be so greatly appreciated. Thank you all.
PS : sorry this is so long.

Re: Sever vaginal dryness

Perhaps your vaginal tissues need some vaginal estrogen. Vitamins and herbs probably are not going to bring your estrogen levels up, may help with some symptoms, but doubtful that herbs will actually bring your levels up. Best wishes with your doctor appointment.

yes, that is what I am going to talk to her about. I am concerned with estrogen, but read where Estroil ( spelling ) cream is safe. But I have to get it compounded.

Re: Sever vaginal dryness

I started using Estradiol compounded vaginal cream last week and it has helped. I have been using Estradiol/Progest cream 2x a day since May 4. I feel 200xs better on all accounts. My Dr. wanted to go with compounded because she feels it has less synthetic ingredients. I know this is working for me. I am not thrilled with the vaginal cream, but I was so dry I started with the cream, I am hoping for something else at my next visit, but this does work. Good luck
