Painful Pulling feeling 4 weeks post op. Is this normal?

Hi Sisters
I had a TVH 4 weeks ago for a prolapsed uterus with bladder repairs. I have been feeling great, but then a week ago I started to get a painful pulling and tugging feeling inside my vagina. It feels like the stitches are pulling on my skin everytime I walk or try to sit down.
My doc said he got a little carried away when he was stitching me up and my vagina is quite tight now (a finger width).
Is this a normal feeling that will go away , or should I go back to my ?

Re: Painful Pulling feeling 4 weeks post op. Is this normal?

I would give your doc a call and ask. I am 7 weeks post op and for the past 2 weeks have been having some vaginal pains. I went to the doc at 6 weeks and she did an internal and said my cuff isn't close to being healed yet and the pains I'm feeling are from that. She restricted me for another 2 weeks. Yours might be something different, so definitely check with your doctor.

Because you also had bladder repairs done at the time of your hysterectomy, I'd suggest calling the doctor. S/he may want to examine you to make sure everything is okay.
