Re: 20 cm solid mass on right ovary - I'm only 18!
So, I have started chemotherapy! I have BEP for five days, then 1 each week two weeks. I only have to do 3 rounds.
What I had was a stage 3c dysgerminoma. However, I feel grateful because it is extremely easily treatable! My doctor said I would be cured and I believe him.
Also, an update on my mother: she is one of the lucky few to receive surgery on her liver lesion! Which means she has the absolute highest chance of cure. I feel like we've won the cancer lottery. Lol. Anyway, just in case any of you wanted an update. I am on my first round of bep and I don't find it too bad. I have been using a cold cap on my hair.

So glad to hear from you and that you and your mom are doing well! I'm not familiar with BEP but I'm glad you're doing well with it.
Prayers continue for you and your mom.

I hope your Chemo goes well and you have few side effects! I also pray that your Mom's surgery will go well and you both recover soon.

Re: 20 cm solid mass on right ovary - I'm only 18!
Thank you everyone!
I finished my first real round of chemo two days ago. I am feeling alright but nauseous and very tired... My hair is still here, lol. Well, for now anyway. We did go to the wig shop to find a wig just in case. It looks pretty nice too.
Just wondering what kind of way I can get rid of the stupid chemo feeling - I am really dreading it! I feel so tired weak and nauseous. Thanks!

Mosh, you need to tell the doctors about the nausea. They have so many things now they can prescribe to prevent that, that if one doesn't work, surely another will. If you can keep that at bay, it will help some with the fatigue. You'll still be tired, but nausea exacerbates fatigue.
Glad to hear from you and I hope you'll feel better soon! Some of the ladies who had chemo will probably be along soon to give you some encouragement.

Hi mosh... I had an orange sized teratoma removed from my left ovary when I had my SAH. It turned out to be benign. My Dr said there were bones and hair inside the mass. It's very scary to be diagnosed with this but just don't let your imagination run wild. Sending good thoughts your way

Hey guys, thought I would update you all. I am officially cancer free! My tumor markers came back normal as of my first treatment. I am currently on my second treatment. Although annoying it is not as bad as I thought! Thank god. Hoping everyone is good and thank you for being there for me.
