Howdy!

I just passed the 5 year anniversary of my hyst. It was a subtotal - kept the ovaries. I had a 1.75 lb fibroid tumour in the wall of my uterus. I had wondered why my small pot belly never went away!

I started getting hot flashes last year and take a supplement that really helps. I tell my GP about anything like that I take. In this case he took my blood pressure and all was well.

The first year post-op had its challenges, mostly that a pre-op CT scan had knocked my thyroid out of whack. It did settle down but the mood swings were scary.

These days I am in a walking group, go for hikes with friends, and am healthy. And pretty darn happy.
