uterine septum found

HI all! was wondering, I had a dnc and hystercopy this last monday and they found and removed a fibroid tumor . Also found a uterine septum that I did not know about. can this septum cause some of my heavy bleeding? I am hoping that this procedure will fix at least for awhile my bleeding problem!!! I hope. if not doc suggested a ablation or hyster. wondering if anyone out there has a septum and had a ablation? also wondering if fibroids will come back. sorry so ??? just want my life back. My periods were coming every 17 days and they are killer...clots bleeding like im peeing, I m sick of worring about bleeding thru my clothes! thanks
