6 days post bleeding
I had a total hysterectomy 6 days ago. It went well. I went home the next day. Was able to walk in the store and pick up prescriptions. I came home and have been feeling pretty good. I haven't done much but drive around with my friend so she can keep an eye on me and I won't go stir crazy. Driving very slow over the bumps. I was taking pain meds and antiinflamitory. Just down to one or two a day now. Yesterday I went fishing. Very low key. Just parked close and sat most of the time. I noticed lastnight a little bleeding. Not much just when I wipe. I was wondering if this is normal since I had almost no bleeding at all from day one. I didn't cast hard or far. And made sure to be careful but was wondering if that had anything to do with it. Or would it have anything to do with being aroused? I was very careful not to do anything I shouldn't. Its off limits got a while but I was moving around a little. Not much. I still feel good. Not much pain. Just a bit on the right side of belly button. Just wondering if bleeding goes off and on. Thanks

Re: 6 days post bleeding
I know that you say that your feeling good, but that's the outside you speaking. The inside still needs time to heal. I don't think that you should be fishing this soon. You shouldn't be pulling, pushing or lifting this soon.
My doctor told me that I wasn't suppose to be in the car during weeks 1&2 and I could be a passenger during weeks 3&4.
The jostling of the car may be irritating your insides. It is very probable that you are doing too much too soon. Your body surely lets you know when you've done too much. I know it is very difficult and it's probably very hard to rest, but you have to give your body time to heal because if you don't you could be paying for it later.
If you click on the home icon, then click on post op check points, you will find very helpful information on what you should or shouldn't be doing during weeks 1&2, 3&4, 5&6. Please look up that info, I want you to have the best recovery process possible.
During my recovery I was aroused all of the time. Some of it you have no control over. Remember nothing inside. You can check with your doctor when he recommends outer stimulation. You are very early in your recovery please try and rest your body. You did have major surgery.
Please take care of yourself and rest.

Re: 6 days post bleeding
The bleeding will come and go as your insides heal. I was told to wear at least a panty liner, during the first 6 weeks. As long as you feel ok and the bleeding is not like a period, I think you're ok, but you could check with your Dr just to be sure. Happy healing to you!
