A and P repairs

Well last Monday I had my op, more repairs required than first thought i had an anterior repair which I knew about but also had a posterior repair but no hysterectomy required which I was told I needed, and I was so relieved and happy as i am only 38. I feel so well, and have been doing well, but my lady parts are so itchy and sore, where the knot of the stitch is, it seems tight and sore. Is this Normal?

Re: A and P repairs

Wonderful news about avoiding a hysterectomy! Yes, the itchiness and soreness are part and parcel to recovery from having stitches in such sensitive areas. You might want to ask your doctor if he will prescribe some estrogen cream to help soften the knot. Otherwise it took me about 4 weeks to get through the worst of the post op phase.

Re: A and P repairs

Thank you Molly I have to say the worst part is the waiting for the op, because post op I have been great and so pleased I had this op.

I had my dr pop in he said I have a slight infection so taking some anti b's, but otherwise doing really well.
