Scared. Dr. wants to see me tomorrow; Update--biopsy results.

I posted yesterday looking at 12th june for biopsy results and have had a phone call today they want to see me TOMORROW! My mind has gone into overdrive. I am now soooooo frightened -things seem to be moving so fast -I know it is good that I am being attended so quick but it does not look like the outcome is not going to be good

Sending good thoughts...please keep us posted. Don't be concerned just because they want to see you so quickly, I have had that happen and it did not end up being as bad as I thought. (((hugs)))

Cancer found after biopsy

Got called back for biopsy result and it is cancer-at the moment grade 1 but the will not know stage until after hysterectomy biopsy -things have moved soooo fast-thought I was going for fibroids and within a week discussing cancer.

The hospital were great the dr told me the result and introduced me to my cancer nurse who would be with me all the way-she sat with me and explained what would be happening and the time scale-I have to go for an MRI scan next week and should see the surgeon the week after and then the op the week after.

I am a bit shell shocked!

If this post is in the wrong place please move it -I started off in this section as a pre-opal tough I still am with the added complication

Any support would be greatly appreciated

Re: Cancer found after biopsy

I am sorry you have a cancer diagnosis. What kind of cancer is it? I know it is very overwhelming right now. First, are you seeing a gynecologist/oncologist? They are the experts in female cancers. Also, it is a very good idea to have someone with you while asking questions and to write questions and answers down. You can do this!! We have all been in you shoes and can most likely answer any questions you may have. Keep us updated.

Re: Cancer found after biopsy

Sorry you have had to join our club, but you are very welcome. I have just finished my treatment. Ask us as many questions as you need. It's good that you are grade 1 and after your MRI you will know more. As Lisa said, what cancer is it?

endometrial cancer-I was going for problems with bleeding and thought it was fibroids but dr did scan and said she was more concerned with the thickening of the wall of the uterus. And the rest is history and I seem on a roller coaster

What will the MRI be telling me?

Thanks for replying,it,is a great support
