New fears developed.....

Has anyone had any new fears or weird things come up? About 2 months ago I became afraid to drive across bridges or roads with steep ravines on either side. I can still do this but some days I have to breathe through it and eventually hold my breath until i am across and then sigh when its over. I always move to the inside lane whenever possible too when crossing. Ive never had this happen before. Any one else have an odditiy or is it just me? Its like a have a fear of falling off, or it will collapse under me and I will fall into what ever is below. Very creepy but not disabling.

Re: New fears developed.....

Yes, that definitely sounds like symptoms of low estrogen. Could be adding in the testosterone is countering some of the estrogen benefits.
Did this start about the same time you started T?
Estratest does not have a stronge enough estrogen for many women.

Re: New fears developed.....

I have highway anxiety and try to stay off the road as much as possible. I'm constantly pulling over to breathe.
Have had no hormones for the last 3 years and just had a level check which was 97. Back on Premarin which only takes away the hot flashes for me.

I'm glad you brought this up, everyone thinks I'm crazy and it's all in my head.

I had the same exact thing happen to me, but it not at all related to my hysto or hormones,in fact it happened 8 years post menopausal and 2 years before my hysto. I was in a job situation that was extremely stressful, and I believe that brought it on. It was quite debilitating, because I live is a city with 7 bridges and 2 rivers. I finally saw a therapist that helped me work through it. It only took 3 visits.

Yes, low E can cause much more anxiety, even some OCD behaviors for me.
