burning pain..is this normal?

Hello,
I had my total hysterectomy (abdominal) on May 29th. I am doing pretty good as I am only taking Ibuprofen for pain, but yesterday when I had a tickle in my throat and tried to clear it, I had a burning pain down by my incision. I am just wondering if any one else has experienced this. the incision looks good. And I only feel that burning feeling when I need to cough. I use a pillow on my incision as directed by the nurses while in the hospital, but it doesn't help with that pain. Just wondering if anyone else has ever experienced that kind of pain, or if I need to make a phone call to my doctor.

i had those burning pains. my doc assured me that means its just healing from the inside out. as long as there is no funky discharge, icky smell or other signs of infection, you should be good.
