This site has been a huge relief to me as well. I didn't know what to expect but if I look long enough I can always find someone who is or who has experienced what I'm experiencing. Happy healing!

Please if you have not had a bm within 5 days of your surgery and you are eating fairly normally please call your dr to make sure you don't have some form of impacted bowel. Netter safe than sorry, definitely if is 7 days post-op.

Surgery was Wednesday. I wasn't able to have the laproscopic once they got in there it wthe help or that I s a mess with lots of endomitriosis so I have a large incision. Had to get 2pints of blood on Friday. I had been battling anemia for months and I just wasn't recovering from the blood loss. It's Saturday now and I am HOME!!! Hubby is working way to hard to help me out. I would like to tell him to slow down but I don't want him to think I am not appriciating it or do not need the help.

Today is day 5.

I had been taking it easy and then this morning I woke up feeling better than the mornings previous. I pushed it this morning and I'm paying for it now

Hubby says I'm grounded tomorrow. ALl we did was go to my parents to visit, and every bump was a little painful.

All the incisions except for one are fine. But the lower one on the left gives me trouble if I'm sitting up for too long, walking or standing.

I have had some uncomfortable bm's and I promise I'm not pushing. Just the inside of my vagina feels irritated. Maybe dry, or itchy. I was told not to inset anything for 8 weeks. If it persists, I may just call the OB.

I find myself wondering how this will change me. I hope this healing process amps up a bit. My 4 year old loves to help..she's a little mommy I just want to be able to get back to the regular routine.

I'm having really faint cramps. No big deal, but I keep thinking it's weird. I have no more parts!! Ghost cramps? I would have been on my period if I hadn't had surgery on Wednesday. Also, I did walk upstairs today for first time. I may have just did a little too much. It's just kinda odd...

Stay strong! We've come this far. Everyone is recovering differently but I am glad for this site. At least someone can relate to what I'm going through.

Taking Percocet, ibuprofen, gas-x, and stool softeners. I also have no feeling from the incision up to my naval, but Dr said this is normal and temporary. I have a feeling of burning/pulling in my incision if I turn the wrong way. Dr says I'm feeling the stitches tighten. Hope you feel better soon!

Sent hubby and teenage daughter out on a quest for candied ginger and papaya. They found the ginger @trader Joe's and papaya @whole foods. I'd read from other sisters that it keeps digestive system flowing. Had 1st post op BM w/in 2 hours of eating these. I'm a believer. It was only slightly painful but I was so relieved since they had to do some bowel repair unexpectedly.

I went to the castle yesterday at 7:30 am, was wheeled into surgery at 10:30 am and in recovery at 1:30 pm. I woke up to a lot of pain but the nurse got it under control quickly. I got home today about 4 pm.
I wish all my sisters a speedy recovery!
