Hello

Hi All Rhode Islanders,

Isn't today a great day. It's almost 50 here in Narragansett.

I've been working almost non-stop this week trying to tie up all my loose ends at work. It seems like the more i get done the more new stuff pops up. And I just found out that the two people i work most closely with are going to be out of town next week. My surgery is the following week. So today I started a file and labeld it "Unfinished Stuff". I'm sure they will muddle through somehow.

Debbie, I talked to Dr. Pensa a couple of days ago and I forgot to tell him that I met you online. I was so mad at myself. I'm sure I will talk to him again before the big day. I will put your name at the top of the list. He was so nice and patient. I called with a bunch of questions and he took time to make sure I understood everything and he encouraged me to call with any other questions. We're lucky we have such a nice guy for a .

I told him that I was doing well during the day but having trouble sleeping because i seem to dwell on the surgery when I get in bed so he gave me a prescription for Zanax. It works wonderfully and i seem a lot more energetic during the day.

Well s to all of you.

Talk to you soon.

Hello

Joanie,
Hi! I was wondering what had happened to you! LOL
You seem to be up to your eyeballs in getting ready.
I know about the weather isn't it great! I have been out for walks since my daught has started kindergarten in the afternoons I seem to have alot of time on my hands. I wish I could drive though it would be nice to walk around the mall to.

I like that you made a folder for your unfinnished stuff, that means that your not dwelling on the stuff you can't finnish before surgery.

I can't wait to talk to Dr. Pensa! I am so happy that we have the same doc. He is the absolute best. I would never change him. I think he is going to get a big kick out of the fact of how we met.

It's good that he gave you that perscription, I think it will help keep you calm and give you a good nights rest.
I used to take that myself for the panic attacks but they really didn't help me to much.
I started seeing an acupunturist for the first time the other day and I think it was very strange but I like it. I only hope it helps for the anxiety.

Talk to you soon Debbie

Hello

Debbie,

Did the acupuncture hurt? How many needles were used? I've always wondered about acupuncture. You're the first person I've met who has ever tried it.

Let me know what you think about it.

I hope it works wonders for you.

Hello

Joanie,
No it didn't hurt at all. I'm not sure excactly how many needles were used, maybe a dozen os so.
It's not as bad as you might think. The doctor I have is very nice and he makes you fell very comfortable.
Even though nobody warned me about being strpped down to just my undies! LOL
I was a little shocked at that but it's kind of like going to the gyn they make just matter of factly that by today when I went for the second time it didn't really bother me.
Plus he's an old chinese guy so for some reason it didn't bother me anymore. LOL
I think that it is already helping. I drank two cups of coffee and I didn't have panic attack from the caffine, so i think thats an improvement!
I just feel very tired afterward but I think since my problem is with anxiety I think tha it is suppose to make me relaxed.

Hello

That sounds promising Debbie, I hope it works for you.

How did you come to try acupuncture. Did a doctor recommend it?

My sister's gyn started doing acupuncture and he's not Chinese. I guess it's really growing in popularity and application.

You don't have to answer all my questions if they bother you. I just think acupuncture is fascinating. I also think some of these ancient practices really have a lot of merit.

I wonder if it could shrink a melon sized fibroid tumor? LOL

Well take care, have a great weekend and i'll talk to you soon.

Hello

Joanie,
Don't worry you can ask me anything! We are sisters!
I really hope this acupuncture works! I went again today and the doctor was so sweet. He asked how I was doing today and I told him that I was feeling dizzy, so he patted my arm and said "don't worry Dr. Han take good care of you".
I heard of this doctor from my dh boss. His wife had bad back problems and she was going to have back surgery so she went to Dr. Han and six months later she is cured!
I think it's kind of funny really that you have all this pins sticking out of you, but I have faith in old medicine. I think that there is really something when the entire office of his is plastered in thank you letters from people.
I would not count it out for your fibroid. There is good hope that it would help you. It will not hurt to try.
If you want I will give you his name and number and you can try mine. I'm sure you can talk to him and ask if it is for you.
If anything let me tell you it makes you so realxed that you sleep really well after it!
Of course I'm going for anxiety so I think it is supposed to make me feel that way.
Here is a big for you. Don't worry everything will be OK

Debbie

Hello

Maxxie,
Hi there! Hey listen don't worry about your spelling. I was born and raised here and I can't spell for beans.
If you want me and Joanie can give you a number to a really good Doctor. LOL
You really need someone you feel comfortable with. You are putting your life in thier hands. Sometimes you get a really good Doc for surgery but bad bedside madders and sometime the other way around. If you find both it's a godsend.
Dr. Pensa is right in Providence not to far from Warwick.

My dh' s is cousins with Joey Bonn. Chucky has passed away some time ago. he also knows David Buccini, Teddy Kollett,a nd Georgie Moulton. Ask your dh if he knows Jackie Cole, or Kash Bonn?
If you don't mind me asking what your last name is? More than likely our families know one another. Isn't that weird?? LOL

Do you still have family in Germany? I would love to go there myself. My in-laws went there in 87' and they loved it. My sister-in-laws husdand was stationed there for about four years in Hamberg.

I don't know muchabout the compound hormone thing but I really hope you get better results with a new .
I would really look into changing the one you have
Talk to you soon
Debbie

Hello

Hi Everyone,

Maxxie, I'd be happy to give you my doctor's name and number if you'd like. I have no idea whether or not he gets involved with compounding or not though. Another thought is that maybe you could talk to a compounding pharmacist and ask if he or she can recommend a doctor that will work with the pharmacist. I know somewhere on the Hyster sisters site I saw a link to a state by state list of compounding pharmacists. I have no idea where I found it but if I have time I'll try to find it again for you. I remember looking up RI and noticed that there were a couple of compounding pharmacists in the Newport area, which would be the closest to me. I didn't reall pay attention to the rest of the state.

Debbie, I would like the name and number of your acupuncturist, although, I don't think I'll put off my surgery because I couldn't stand to go through this waiting again. I'm glad it's almost over.

I'm glad he seems to be helping you. Wouldn't it be great if you could drive again?

I just came back from a long walk. It's so beautiful out. I walked for an hour and a half. I just kept walking and walking.

Take care all, I'll talk to you soon. Joanie
