Can Hardly Pee...ER gave me a catheter...Update: Dr says wait until the 29th

I woke up and felt that normal morning full bladder feeling. I could not pee, almost threw up, felt a lot of pain and peed a little. I am not having the hysterectomy for 3 weeks. I also have a cystocele and my vaginal wall is bowing down into the vagina. Is this an emergency? I hurt and am peeing alittle more but it scared me pretty bad.

Re: Can't Hardly Pee Freaked Out.....

I know that's how they found my cysts. It was preventing me from emptying my bladder. Try an anti inflammatory but if it persisted past today or the discomfort gets unbearable go to the ER. They can do a catheter to give you some relief.

Re: Can't Hardly Pee Freaked Out.....

It is really scary when it hurts like that and nothing comes out. I have never had that happen before. Thanks for the reply. I will be so glad when this is all behind me. 2 months ago I felt fine. All of a sudden bam! I will go to the ER if it gets out of control.

Re: Can't Hardly Pee Freaked Out.....

It sounds like you may have a bladder infection or just to many organs in the way. My DX is similar to yours..I feel your pain and hope you find relief in this journey.

[font="Trebuchet MS"][font="Book Antiqua"]Thanks for the replies. I'll bet you are right YoungZebra. I may very well have an infection as it has burned down there for over a month. I was miserable last night with pain. Aleve did nothing and it always works. I can't express enough how awesome it is to have this site. to come to and have others who "get it".

Re: Can't Hardly Pee Freaked Out.....

Please make sure you make it to the Dr because with these conditions it can easily travel to your kidneys and then you'll be in big trouble. Maybe your Dr will just call you something in, I know mine will because they know my history. Don't forget to still drinks lots of water
Hoping you feel better soon.

Re: Can't Hardly Pee Freaked Out.....

Thanks I will call the doctor. I keep waiting for my last period. I think my nerves are making it late. I can't tell what is what is what.

Re: Can't Hardly Pee Freaked Out.....

Hang in there LLL, hopefully it will all be over for you soon. And having to wait for a period, not such a bad thing It's so frustrating being a woman at this point. I do know with my bladder being prolapsed, when it's cycle time it makes my bladder crazier than it is. I see you are having Davinci too, that's the plan for mine so far, but won't happen until October. Please keep me posted as to how you are.

((((HUGS)))) to you.

Re: Can't Hardly Pee Freaked Out.....

Thanks. I hope you have a great surgery too and that all goes well. I am anxious to hear if the doctor is going to fix this as well. She said she may not. I certainly hope she doesn't leave it like this. I can see it from my vagina. How attractive! YUCK!!!

Pre Op ER Trips Results In Catheter To Go

I could not pee this morning. I went to the ER and they Catheterized me. They sent me home with the cath. I feel relief but wonder why this happening to me. They didn't check me at all just took my word for the fibroids and the Cystocele. Should they have checked me out some? They said to call the doctor tomorrow. There was no infection. I don't like the catheter but it is better then not being able to pee. I don't have surgery for 19 days!
