Crying and anxiety 8 weeks out

I am 8 wks out and for the last week and a half I have been very emotional and anxious. I have had pain when going to the bathroom since day 1. My gyn has just continued to change my hrt without seeing me in the clinic. I went to my gp this week and she drew labs and sent me for a ct scan. I hope to get some answers. My surgery took the surgeon 5 hours to perform and I had to have a couple units of blood the day after. I am not convinced this surgery was a good idea.

Re: Crying and anxiety 8 weeks out

I remember after my surgery, I was an emotional mess for months. It often takes time to balance your hormones and I would wonder if that is the problem. It is still relatively early in your recovery. It took me time for my body to adjust to everything and surgical menopause was horrible at first. Sending hugs. It does get better,I promise.

Re: Crying and anxiety 8 weeks out

Sounds like you have really been thru the ringer, so to speak. My surgery was 3 hours and my Dr acted like that was the longest hysterectomy in the world, so a 5 hr surgery is a really big deal! Do you have endo? If you are on hrt, it will probably take some time for things to balance out. I am almost 12 weeks out and have been emotional lately (i have 1 ovary), so you are not alone. Hang in there...i hope you get some answers soon
