Urinary tract infection and now pain

Hi,

I got a urinary tract infection which is now being treated with antibiotics. For some reason, however, my pelvic area generally is in a lot of pain. It is as though I have bad period cramps and my fibroids (two in front) are really HURTING. I've never had this much pain from my fibroids before.

Does anyone know if there is a connection? I realize the urinary tract infection may have sensitized my bladder but I have crampiness all over and a backache, too. I fear it is getting worse through the day, not better.

I have an appointment to see my general practitioner on Tuesday morning. That is the best I can do. I wonder if this is going to be the new "normal"
