Surgery to fix fistula

Not to good recovery so far for me.
First my son drove me 3 1/2 Hours to ER so they could assess me. After finding out I had acute UTI. I was sent home with bactrim... Only to get a call today saying that I'm resistant to all oral antibiotic so i will need to have IV or injections 2x a day. So since I am far from them.. They are going To work with my primary to figure out how to work this out. I just want this over... Part of me wants to go stay in hospital so they can monitor me. Plus they food isn't that bad since I really don't have appetite anyway! well here we go again.

Pic line means you don't have to be poked for an IV over and over again. It must be a pretty harsh antibiotic and they are worried about you blowing out veins. My prayers are with you, Lea70.

Well what a great experience that was. Here I am 41 yr old woman... Wearing a cath an getting a pic line and the nurses are male and very handsome. Well I can still think about sex even though I can have it... Hahaha!!

i've had a pic twice, but it doesn't work if they are checking for coumadin level, it breaks down too quick, so they still had to poke me!

Re: Surgery to fix fistula

Good luck on your fistula repair surgery tomorrow. I will be praying for you. Grt plenty if rest. Did your dr say how long you will be out? I decided not to go back to work 1/2 days just to much so I will just be paying for my insurance for this month.

Re: Surgery to fix fistula

doc said i will be in hospital for 5 days, as far as how long it will take to heal, i'm saving that question for after surgery, he'll have a better idea. leaving in 15 minutes, thanks for the prayers.
