Water????

I have been reading that I have to drink alot of water. Not a real fan of just "plain" water. Is it ok to mix a low calorie flavored mix in it? I figure, just as long as I drink water.

Re: Water????

Rene
I think the whole idea is to hydrate and keep the bowels moving. I am not a fan of straight water either. I drink flavored water so I think that would be fine. Good luck to you.

Re: Water????

Just so you get plenty of H2O. If you need that bit of flavor go for it. Makes it easier for finding your veins when they start your IV. Helps your body heal by keeping it easier or your blood to flow better. It will really help to keep drinking water to assist when your system is waking back up after aneshesia. You definatelt want to ease that first bowel movement if at all possible.

Re: Water????

it's the hydration that's necessary ... as others said, gets things moving & keeps things moving. For me, I'm a hard stick for IVs or blood draws so I started a few days before to ensure I was hydrated the morning of surgery.
