Daily Pain makes me anxious for quick relief!!!

Hi! This is my first time posting on the sight and am hoping for some suggestions/support. In December of this year(at age 26) we began trying for our 2nd child by removing my IUD. I noticed immediately how progressively more painful my periods were getting along with pelvic pressure, cramping, bad back pain, painful sex, and overall ugh feeling. Went to primary PA who did PAP that reviled CIN 3 and referral to OBGYN. Set up appt with him to have Colposcopy/ Punch biopsies (which hurt), - reviled CIN 3 in canal. On June 8th had the LEEP procedure (which was very scary/painful) and the margins were not clear for successfully removing all cells. Through the exam he also was able to tell that I had a uterine prolapse( my cervix is at my vaginal opening) which he suspects is causing a lot of the pain but is also thinking endo. Last week's appt i told him how frustrated I was with feeling in pain and cramps every single day! He told me that there was a clinic in a bigger city(3 hrs away) that might be able to do a pelvic reconstruction to maintain fertility. my husband and I asked what his suggestion would be and he said vaginal removal of uterus( dont know hyster term for this) while reattaching cervix at the same time and checking for endo. My husband and i have been talking this over ( a LOT) and we are both ready to go through with the hysterectomy. I know that I am only 27 and we will not be able to conceive but we have a very happy little family and i so badly want for the pain to GO AWAY! So frustrated.....

Sorry to hear this. Have you seeked a second opinion as you are so young. I had tbis pain from a prolapsed uterous so I know the pain. But I kick myself for not seeking other options. About keeping ovaries uterous what else can be done if nothing and thats your only option I am pain free but lost my ovaries and thats a whole other issue.

I would get a second opinion before proceeding.Different doctors have different ideas, so it never hurts to hear another opinion before you commit to surgery.

I have not committed to surgery just yet. Living in a smaller town makes it difficult to find the specialists. I would most definitely be keeping my ovaries as i want to keep the option of surrogacy in my future.

Re: Daily Pain makes me anxious for quick relief!!!

I spent 3 years researching and thinking about it. If it isn't life threatening you have time to think, but please, if you suspect cancer don't stall. Keep us posted.
