No sexual drive

I underwent a DaVinci Hysterectomy in July of '10 and I can't begin to describe how much better I feel!!! I am experiencing a few downfalls such as my acne and slight moodswings but my main complaint is my loss of sex drive. I am 27 years old and a mother to 3 kiddos and it just seems like I seem to lay the blame on my tiredness. I have no desire at all to 'do the deed' and it has nothing at all to do with my husband. He's my world and I love him with everything I have in me but it just seems like I zone out the minute I think he wants to have sex. Bless his heart....he thinks it's his fault or it's something he's doing but it's not and I am not sure how to explain that to him. I kept both ovaries but ever since my surgery I just can't get my groove back! I won't even "cuddle" with him anymore b/c I'm afraid he'll interpret that as wanting to have sex. I am seeking advice on what this could be caused by!

Re: No sexual drive

I feel that. I shut down too, and I hate it. If you are not ovulating your sex drive naturally goes. Have you talked to your dr about a hormone supplement to see if that helps boost? I'm 27 too, and we are way too young to be living without for the rest of our lives!

Re: No sexual drive

Hey ladies I am so sorry you all are having problems. I can say the body is not the same. We have to use lubrication but I still have my sex drive. Just have to put more into it. Not sure if it is because I still have my ovaries. Yes you all are young. I am 46. I have been reading up to see what can enhance the sex drive more. Love U systerssss..It will get better.
