Off topic but I'm feeling extremely emotional.
My youngest child is a daughter who will be 16 in a couple weeks. We clash over everything. Her room is messy, she plays xbox to much, she's always texting, she's always on facebook, etc. She likes movies like Twilight and I watch HGTV. I told her twilight is stupid and she got mad at me. Fast forward a couple months and here we are. I'm back on bedrest for overdoing it and bored out of my mind. Daytime tv is horrible. She posted on facebook about having a boring summer and nothing to do. I called her to my room and asked her if she want to lay in my bed with me in front of the AC and watch a movie. She rolled her eyes and said we don't even like the same movies. Normaly I would get frustrated and say forget it. Today, I made a real effort and told her we could watch twilight. It wasn't horrible and I really enjoyed spending the afternoon with my baby. We talked about alot of everyday life things and we had a really enjoyable afternoon. I know this has nothing to do with my surgery, but wanted to share a little bit of how the small things can make you feel so good. Prayers and hugs to all my sisters and I hope you all find a little thing to make you happy.

I'm glad to hear that you had a good time. I have a 13 years old princess, and we enjoy a lot together. Give her a chance and show some interest on what she likes and you will see the results.
I became a fan of abc family girls shows, and my daugther loves to watch tv shows like 24 with me. At the beginning we were bored while trying to bond, but now it is incredible how much fun we have.
Good luck! Things have changed a little with teenagers but we can handle it!

The good thing about this surgery is it does force you to slow down. This has also allowed me to regroup with my sons and I'm loving it. I was way too busy before this and kind of lost sight on what was important, them. Sounds like this surgery will help you do that too. Cheers!
