Clear Liquid diet question

After I just finished making my jello for tomorrow's clear liquid diet, I was wondering if maybe the flavored jello I bought would be considered clear. I bought watermelon, tropical fruit, and mango. Any thoughts?

I also picked up apple juice and bouillon which I know are fine.

Getting everything ready today for a fun filled day tomorrow of bowel prep and liquid diet, but I'm happy that the castle day is almost here. It's been a long road to get here.

Thanks!

Re: Clear Liquid diet question

Flavoured jello is just fine. Just make sure there are no chunks of fruit or other things in it.

Thanks Danni! Kinda funny - I feel like I'm nesting (getting everything ready and a burst of energy despite the pain).

Re: Clear Liquid diet question

I remember being told jello is fine, but avoid red because the dye could be mistaken for blood during surgery. (red popsicles too)

I was also told jello was fine and color did not matter. They told me color only mattered for colonoscopy so I ate all red actually and had da Vinci on the 26th.

See you on the other side!!!

Re: Clear Liquid diet question

I was told no red or purple and nothing with seeds. I made lemon and lime, not the best flavors but they filled me up just fine! Best wishes and see you on the other side!

I am glad you are following your doctor's instructions. Bowel prep is different according to the differing doctors. Even colonoscopy preps can be different. If you follow your doctor's instructions, you will be fine and that includes not doing a prep if you doctor doesn't tell you to do one.
