Good evening ladies! Here are some flowers

to the thread cmwilson35757!!

Laffatme72 and others wondering about swelly belly ...I've read and experienced that it can happen to all of us regardless of the surgery type. It does get better with time!!

For those of you having a rough time either physically and/or emotionally... in there...you are almost to the halfway point in your initial recovery!!!

If you are feeling good, able to do more, and your doctor has cleared you for more activity...please go slow and listen to your body. You are still healing too, you don't want to go backwards in your recovery.

for all of you!!!

Had my post-op appointment this morning, at 3 and 1/2 weeks. As I was sliding down the table to get in the stirrups, I said I'm really nervous, so please be gentle with me! She said, Oh, don't worry, you'll be fine. And, Of Course she was right! It was uncomfortable, but not horrible.

She said another 4 weeks of taking it easy, only allowed to walk for exercise still, and no heavy lifting. But, I can resume sexual activity in 2 weeks. It's interesting to see how varied the answers are on that topic. So, my doc says 6 weeks, some have said 8 and some of you even have been told 12. Makes ya wonder, doesn't it?

Best news of the day? No more pap smears. Ever.

Energy level has been pretty good the last couple of days. In fact, it is now after midnight and I have been up since 6:45 am. Guess I will be visited by the Energy Ninja tomorrow!

Good night ladies!

I had a restless night, could not get to sleep. I am having severe cramping, over this pain in my back and the cramps. I looked at the calendar and I would be do for my period on Friday. I just don't understand why is my cramping the same, Painful. Lord please give me strength to wait three more weeks for post op. this was my main pain before surgery since my bleeding was barely coming down. I am still doubting myself for keeping my ovaries . Hope this roller coaster stops soon. Blessings.

Good morning, sisters!

Flooding here - and not talking about my pre-surgery problem!! We've had 4.5 inches of rain since 1am - we had 5 inches of rain in under 2 hours 2 weeks ago, and my bedroom flooded - so we are still waiting for new carpet after that. I felt so bad not being able to help Hubby clean up the mess!

Not sure how I will get my walking in today - I can't get to the park and the roads are flooded between here and the YMCA - I only have clearance from the doc for walking, so afraid to do anything else - thought about my Walk Away The Pounds videos, but not sure I can keep that pace right now. If the lightning and rain would stop, I would just walk the neighborhood. Hubby said, "Oh, well, guess we won't get to walk today." Speak for yourself, bud - I'm getting out and walking somehow!

Our bedroom has stayed dry so far, but the debris line on the outside wall is almost as high as it was a couple of weeks ago.

Not sure what I'll get into - not feelng quite as froggy today as yesterday - I am going to get a massage this afternoon, my first since surgery. Doc thought it was a wonderful idea, as soon as I felt comfortable lying on my tummy.

I ordered a book last night on post-hysterectomy exercise - doing ab work and weight lifiting in such a way as to protect the pelvic floor. Still going to wait on doctor's release, of course.

Hope you are all doing well today!

Send that rain up here! We need it so bad. The grass is crunchy. At least we haven't had the terrible heat we were having.

Doing ok, been back at work a week now. I do have some energy in the evenings after a full day.

Well, GRRRRR!!! The massage studio requires a note from your doctor if you have had major surgery within the past 6 weeks. I understand, but it sure would have been nice to have been told that before I drove 30 minutes to get there!

I'm afraid I was a little rude and had to call back and apologize. I had asked my doctor but never thought to bring a note.
