Re: Does Estroven help ????

My understanding has always been that soy and estroven contain phytoestrogens and shouldn't be used by anyone who is avoiding estrogen increase for endometriosis or cancers. Perhaps I misunderstand and someone else will chime in.

I agree. Soy milk and estroven a no-no, along w others like cow milk, meats, eggs w hormones/antibiotics and the worst in my opinion alcohol!

Endomitriosis can "wake-up" and/or come back, those two (from what I understand and personal experience) feed it.

Re: Does Estroven help ????

I'm assuming you've talked with your Dr. about using it or not. Estroven + energy has been helpful to me. It took about two-three weeks for me to notice a drop in night sweats, headaches and over all better well being. I'm not good at taking it everyday, but at least 6 out of 7 days of the week. Once or twice a week I take two. I just feel better. Occasionally I take the nighttime Estroven to help me with sleeping. My schedule is just off because I have a snoring husband. I don't want him to leave the room though!

I find it that little extra that I need, plus I get my vitamins! I've noticed better hair, nails, skin and bowel movements. I've never been one to get headaches. Hot flashes reduced by 90%. Thismight sound silly but I feel like I can predict when they are coming better so therefore I through the covers off and talk myself through it before it "wins" and over takes me. Weird probably to others...

Good luck -

TAH 11/99 at the age of 33.

Re: Does Estroven help ????

I am 45. My Hysterectomy was July 2nd. I bought some over the counter Estroven (Plus mood and memory) 3 days ago ..... It seems to be working........... I am hardly having any night sweats anymore and do not feel as head achy or dizzy..........When I had my 3 C-sections surgeries (years ago) I never pampered myself or sat down..... This time around, I am trying to eat a lot healthier and REST more during my recovery . (I never want to have all that scar tissue form on any other organs again! ) My philosophy is , if i can take care of my body better more holistically, I think my body will be better off! Good Luck and God Bless you!

Let us know how it goes. I can't take anything because of endo. Insomnia is really bad.
