Surgery set for July 10

I'm nervous, but ready. Having a TAH with BSO. Dr. to leave one ovary unless absolutely necessary to remove both. I don't know what to expect as far as pain, swelly belly, recovery. Just have to trust that everything will be okay.

Mom is coming in the day before and I am so very glad. She will be here for two weeks to stay with me in the castle (hubby can only be off the day of my surgery) and take care of me when I get home.

I appreciate the positive vibes on this site. Have been reading lots of posts so I do feel a little better prepared (would have never thought to bring pads to the hospital!). Bought new jammies, slippers and robe. Oh, and a few other odds and ends like a tummy pillow, shoes that I don't have to tie, a couple of knit, no-waist dresses to wear out when I feel up to it and can't wear pants with a button.

Will probably post again the day before - the day of the Big Bowel Prep. UGH - can't wait for that to be over!

Thanks to everyone posting who has been there and done that. It really is helpful!
