Re: Desperate for help!

Hi Spoken4 :-) I had an endometrial ablation in 2006 and my personal experience with the procedure was very positive. I was able to go home from hospital the same day. My recovery was very quick. All the periods I had after the ablation were extremely light, requiring maybe 1 or 2 pantyliners each cycle at most. No ill effects or unexpected consequences even now, at 6 years post-op. No odour, vaginal gas, or weight gain. Again, this was just my personal experience, but for me it was extremely helpful in curtailing the heavy periods I had previously.

Oh, I should mention that I was 30 years old at the time and, like you, had no children. For me, preserving fertility was not an issue as I have never wanted children.

I hope this was helpful and I wish you luck in coming to a decision for yourself :-)
