Breasts feel heavy and are now producing milk....normal?

I've had 3 children via c-section and I "boobie fed" them each for about a year - so I know what my milk looks like and feels like when it comes in.

I had my hysterectomy 2 weeks ago, and lately my breasts feel heavy. I've worn a bra every day, and at night take it off to sleep. They are sore around the edges too, but I thought maybe just something that happens with the hysterectomy, so I started massaging them. After the massage, I found that I would have a bead of "milk" on my nipple. After the massage, my breasts would feel lighter, too.

Tonight, it was the same thing. I took off my bra and tried to massage away the heavy feeling in my breasts - but this time more "milk" came out. I also found wet patches in my bra.

Is ANY of this normal, or should I be alarmed? I am planning on saying something to my doctor as well, but wanted to know if anyone else has experienced this too.

Yes. I have had that experience...but I produced off an on for the last 12 years since my daughter weaned. I have read several threads here where the women have a homone surger after surgery that has this effect. Some lasts ...some doesn't I am six month out and still have the exact symptoms you describe..doc says I am fine....hubby thinks it wonderful.
The fact that they are tender and responsive makes it more fun for both of us and he rather likes the extra trick. Massaging works...but hubby attending to them works even better to relieve my soreness and give me pleasure too.
