yeast infection that will not leave

On Vag-fem. Tried raw apple cider vinegar which makes less painful but it will not go away!

Re: yeast infection that will not leave

Have you contacted your doctor?

Are you sure it's a yeast infection? I ask because I had what I thought was a never ending yeast infection that turned out to be dryness. Perhaps your Vagifem dose needs adjusting?

If you're not sure there are test kits that are available at your local drugstore.

I took diflucan with the yeast infection I had after surgery and it worked great! One little pill and I was all better within 24 hrs.

Re: yeast infection that will not leave

I seem to be having the same problem. I had a yeast infection 6 months ago, used Vagisil and it worked very quickly. A few days ago I felt I had a yeast infection and since I am getting very close to surgery wanted to have it checked by my doctor. Sure enough I was right.. Yeast infection. Doctor prescribed cream and I am going on day 4 and doesn't seem to be getting better as fast as the last one did. I still have 3 more days using the cream. Hopefully it does the trick.

Re: yeast infection that will not leave

something simple works well for me: plain yogurt--its cold and feels good. its the acidolphilus that your body needs to put the right ph back. I have also found to be low estrogen = yeast inf. in my case. Also every night without fail, I insert the lube sold on this site's store and I use a really good otc estriol cream I buy over the net. contact me if you want the name & website which I can't give over this open reply I think... I mix the lube and estriol together and insert nightly. One last thing that has worked is Rephresh pro biotic--in the drugstore. pricey but it worked! it has only 2 probiotics but those two in particular work well for vaginal health. hope this helps. just sharing some ideas.
