Day 5 post op and feeling good. Pain is minimal and being managed well with Meds. All my bleeding has stopped. Finally got a good night's rest last night. Today hubby took me to get my hair done. I've managed well sitting at shampoo bowl and under the dryer. Just taking it slow and easy but moving around pretty darn good! This afternoon friends are coming by our home to
drop off meals. Feeling very blessed. Just trying to relax and take things easy.

Nurses I had in the hospital provided exceptional service and support. I never encountered any issues. The nurses helped me get through the process. I could not imagine having it any other way! So sad to hear some of the not so
pleasant hospital experiences. Definitely escalate your concerns to management.

Surgery was on he 18th. Home and feeling better than expected. I'm wondering when the hot flashes will arrive. Had ovaries removed and no HRT.

I also learned that a person can pee around a catheter! (and hospital staff won' believe you until you insist they check)

Hope all are doing well with their recovery

I was given chewable gas meds and a suppository in the hospital and have been fine since. I was told that drinking lots of water or tea also helps. I hope
this helps you. It will get better!

And you can't help yourself reaching out to catch your child when dog or other kid is knocking them over.

I am going to take my kid and go home tonight. Hoping much easier. Can you get a friend to come stay and help? I am organising play dates where they will take my kid away for a few hours over weekend and leave me to rest. Got someone lined up to take her to school next week. Good luck.
Thank you! My husband is home & doing basically everything for me, but it is soooo hard to let him do everything. U learned this morning that I have to because I've been in bed since a massive pain attack told me I was doing too much. Hope home is what you needed. Take care my hyster-sister.

I have been finding it easier to get up from a side lying position, using my pillow to guard my incision. Hope this helps!

Surgery yesterday. Radical via daVinci. Was doing pretty good at first. Today is terrible. Back hurts from not moving but moving hurts too much. Lots of gas pain. So uncomfortable. Haven't stood up yet. That will be soon. My abs feel like I've been punched and it really blows to be unable to move!

I felt exactly the same way ... you will feel so much better when you start walking around. The first couple of time I was pretty dizzy and winded, but by the 3rd time when my catheter was out it was such a relief. Hang in there!

I'm at home on the couch, finally able to lay on my side, with a heating pad on my lower back. I wish I had brought that to the hospital.
