Premarin- Itchy Skin

I am 30 years old and had a full laprascopic hysterectomy and salpingo oophrectomy on March 9th 2012. I started on premarin about 4 days after my surgery and have been doing quite well with it since. I have a few hot flashes here and there and a little bit of insomnia.
However I constantly have itching skin all over my body sometimes it itches so much i can't sleep and could probably scratch all day if my husband let me....lol
Is anyone else having this problem and any suggestions as to what i should do????

Re: Premarin- Itchy Skin

Yes I am scratching too. Just recently, an unbearable rash in my armpits. I could easily scratch to the bone, with no relief.

Am taking premarin also. I am seeing gyno tomorrow to pick his brain about alot of things as premarin was agreeing with me for the first 12 months, but the last two months have been awful.

I'm assuming the itch is hormone related.

Re: Premarin- Itchy Skin

Ys, I have this too and have to take mine twice a day...I seem to metabolize it too quickly and it doesn't last 24 hours. The itching would start in the afternoons and last all night.
