Tired one day, full of energy the next
I've been dragging since surgery (3 weeks tomorrow) and taking a shower tires me out. Yesterday I took a shower and shaved - still not able to do that the way I did before surgery so it takes long, then my 6 year old and I went to the cleaners, took a friend some cookies, and bought a few groceries. All in all I was gone 1 hr 45 mins. I was sapped the rest of the day. Today, I showered, ran thru drive thru for b'fast, hit Kohl's, sat for an hour pedicure, ran in about 5 more stores, picked up lunch and came home. I am tired but not like yesterday. I was gone from 7:30a.m. until 2pm today. How is that even possible?? It's crazy to go back and forth. I know it's part of the healing just weird! Anybody else up and down with energy? I will say that today gives me hope that each week I will just feel better and better. I was beginning to wonder if I was ever going to feel like myself again!

Re: Tired one day, full of energy the next
I am having the same experiences. Today, I just wanted to sleep. I just made 4 weeks today. I feel really lazy. Yesterday I mopped my kitchen, shopped, made it to eye dr. apts, and hair appointments, and then ran kids to sports.

Glad to know I'm not alone.
It's the wee hours of the morning. I woke up at 1am. It's now 2:30am and I can't go back to sleep. Ugh! I sure hope this is a fluke and not signs of insomnia. I had trouble falling asleep too.

Re: Tired one day, full of energy the next
Mine was on June 8. I have been exhausted for the past week. So discouraging, but I'm trying to be patient knowing that once I get over this hump, I'm on my way to a life of wellness. Continued healing to you all!

Re: Tired one day, full of energy the next
You are not alone! I am busting with energy some days and others I can't get off the couch all day!
I'll have to get over it soon though, I have inservice starting next Thursday and will run us right into the beginning of a new school year...I'm tired just thinking about it!
Hang in there, everything I've read on here says that 2 steps forward and 1 step back is totally normal for this recovery! Good days and bad days are to be expected and as we go forward, should be more good than bad!
Best wishes!

Re: Tired one day, full of energy the next
Hi ladies, according to my doctor it is normal. I was warned before surgery that simply things will cause me to be tired and fatigue..but it does get better. The recovery part of the surgery is the hardest...once you get past that things starts to feel normal and soon you forget about it and life resumes as normal...be patient, stay stronge..it will get better. Much love
