Re: implant help
(((beaglelady71))), I'm sorry for any misunderstanding in the forum change. The Surgical Menopause is for members who do not have either of their ovaries. Regardless of the status of your remaining ovary, you still do have it which makes the Natural Menopause Post Hysterectomy (Kept 1 or both ovaries) the right forum for your questions and concerns. Many women experience an earlier menopause post-hysterectomy even though they kept one or both ovaries. Sometimes it takes the ovary/ovaries a while to "wake up", or for the remaining ovary to produce hormones at the levels that both ovaries had been producing. Also, having the hormone levels of a menopausal woman doesn't mean that your remaining ovary isn't producing any hormones, and members here in this forum can share from their personal experiences--something those of us in the Surgical Menopause forum can't do because we have no ovaries producing any hormones.
Once you have an implant of a hormone it more than likely can't be removed, so you're stuck dealing with the symptoms until the implant wears off. What does your doctor suggest that you do? You might find it easier to deal with estrogen in a pill, cream or patch form so that you can adjust the dose if necessary.
