D&C Wenesday aug,1 scared

Hi, Hope everyone is doing great. My d&C (biopspies) coming up in a few days. everyone here at home keeps telling me this just is a fibroid.
But my MRI says stage2b cervical cancer verus mmmt ,

I also have a enlarged uterus, and fluid in fundas (I don't know what that means?). IF someone knows that could be helpful. I am in extreme pelvic pain also groin pain, and back pain, other things but I won't go on.

I also know the oncologist could feel a mass or what he thought could be fibroid but he wouldn't say for sure it wasn't cancer on my pelvic exzam,

anyway please pray for me. I guess my few friends I have here at home just don't want me to be negative. but I like to try to prepare I don't want to be caught off guard. so I'm prepared for both outcomes. is that wrong of me to think that way.

Thanks for anyone who answers. and GOD BLESS all!!!!

Re: D&C Wenesday aug,1 scared

Hi Greenville,

I think it's good to prepare ourselves for whatever may happen but still have hope, too. I know that I did that myself before my dx. My doctor thought I just had a fibroid but it turned out to be Endo cancer. But I also know that the Lord can see us through this, whichever way it goes!

I'll keep you in my prayers for total healing, too. I think that the Lord heals in many ways. Sometimes He uses medical means for whatever reason. I was healed in that way by using surgery and Chemo. I don't understand why but maybe someday I will.

I wish the best outcome and healing for you, too!
Blessing and peace to you!

Thank you heart and home. hope your doing well now. your right If god brings you to it he will bring you through it... may I ask how they can mix up endo cancer from a fibroid?
Did you have a D&C or did they see something on ultrasound?. or MRI?

God Bless you.

I think it's perfectly fine to be prepared, just don't over-do it with excesive worry and fret. What's the old saying, prepare for the worst/hope for the best. (((HUGS)))

Re: D&C Wenesday aug,1 scared

My cancer was found after my D & C. My Gyn was pretty sure it was just fibroid from how it looked on the ultrasound.I guess you just never know. I made it through chemo and I'm feeling really well now!

I have my 6 mo check-up this Wed and I usually feel a little anxious but I know God has it all under control!

Re: D&C Wenesday aug,1 scared

Hi Sweetie,

I am sorry you have these scary worries that the "C" beast could be lurking. Unfortunately very often invasive means, such as a biopsy, or D&C; etc. are needed to rule out cancer. One rarely can identify most gyn cancers via an MRI alone..

I agree wholely with monami - be prepared for the worse but always hope for the best. In my simplistic thinking, the more we stress out, including thinking negatively, the more we may weaken our bodies which then could make it harder to fight a cancer IF found.

May you get good results, ruling out the beast, with the upcoming tests. I am sending many positive thoughts your way. Do keep us posted.

Hi PeggieSue, Thanks for the reply. Do you know how radiolgist can put something down as a findings from a mri with contrast as scarry as stage 2b cervical cancer versus a mmmt and get away with it.

Don't they know what that does to a person when they see it and have to wait weeks and weeks to find out? Thanks for the support and hope you are doing really well. I'm glad I found this website everyone one here is so sweet. I will let you and every one know how everything goes. still scared though

Heart and home did he find your cancer when he did a D&C or was it patholgy reports that showed it from biopsies?

Re: D&C Wenesday aug,1 scared

Hi again Sweetie,

There of course is no reason for the radiologist to deceive you. At least based on talking with my gyn/oncs I know that an MRI cannot identify endometrial cancer but perhaps it can be used to definitively dx cervical cancer. What are your doctors, including the oncologist, telling you?

Please hang in there, you soon will have the D&C which should provide more solid information. Again, I am hoping for the very best. for you. Good luck.
