Vaginal cuff tear granulation 12 1/2 weeks cancer recurrence so soon?

My endo cancer was also stage 1 grade 1 and I was told by my gyn onc that the first year after endo cancer diagnosis is really the year they want to watch us closely. And, that the cuff area is the typical place for recurrence should there be one. I am having pap smears from the cuff area every 3 months for the first year. That is keeping the cancer head at bay! I feel like IF I were to have a recurrence it couldn't do much in only 3 months. I am also having CT scans and chest xrays every 6 months this first year to look for metasteses.
