Tamoxifen and family history of endometrial cancer

Last year I found out I had Stage 1 Breast Cancer - ER/PR +, BRCA -
I was 34, no family history of breast or ovarian cancer.
I had a double mastectomy with immediate DIEP recon followed by 4 rounds of TC chemo. I started Tamoxifen in Feb.
My period stopped during chemo. 8 months later I started "spotting" but now it looks like my period may be coming back.

So I met with a GYN ONC today and he suggested I consider a vaginal hysterectomy. Two of my paternal aunts have had endometrial cancer.

I'm done having children so fertility isn't a concern. I feel like I'm a ticking time bomb.

I'm not at all opposed to having a hysterectomy I guess I was just surprised to hear it was an option. Anyone else in a similar situation? Thanks.
