Exhausted....and all over body aches

Hi All,

I am three months post-op from total hysterectomy and bi-lateral oopharectomy.

I started on the HRT patch, and my blood pressure spiked, so I switched over to natural cream - Estridol - and it seems to keep the hot flashes at bay, but my WHOLE body aches, I am sore all the time, I have NO energy, just want to sleep.

Anyone have similar stories?? I really want to stay as natural as I can, but I am having to do Ibuprofen so much, that its not so natural to control this all over body ache.....

Thanks Sisters!

Re: Exhausted....and all over body aches

I don't know about the natural cream because I've never tried it, but it's possible your blood pressure spiked because it was too high a dose on the patch. They kept trying to put me on 1.0 patch and my head would just about pop off!

For me, the joint pains and aching all over are a sign of estrogen being too low.

I chose estrogen instead of ibuprofen and anti depressants every day which I'd have to do if not on E (or so it seems) even with clean eating and exercising.

Re: Exhausted....and all over body aches

Hello Ladies,

I am having the same problem. Achy joints! I'm going to the Dr. today to see what she wlll prescribe to alleviate some of the pain. I have been taking Alleve but it only provides temporary pain relief. I realize the achy joints is due to the low levels of estrogen. Hopefully, the Dr. will have some answers!

Re: Exhausted....and all over body aches

I am 2 1/2 months post op...A few weeks ago, I felt like i had been hit by a mac truck....all over aches and pains....it was low estrogen. I took a little piece of an extra pill I had and the next day the aches and pains went away.

It has taken some doing, but I think I found what works for me. I am taking a .05 estradoil pill twice a day. The patch was good too.

Sounds like how i feel with too low E. You may need more or a different delivery method. There are many options out there.
