7 Days Post-op

Feeling particularly blessed today. Believing more than ever … everything happens for a reason … a little less than 2 months ago I realized I needed to find a new OB/GYN {because of a change in where she is covered to do surgical procedures}… I was upset – because I really did like her. Thankfully though; the transition was quick easy AND my new specialist moved fast to get to the root of my issues. His first biopsy {D&C Hyster} showed complex hyperplasia without atypia – Pre-Cancer ... but in the scheme of things – scary – but not so bad. However, my GYN “issues” {bleeding every day for months... } along with my history of breast cancer prompted him to recommend a total vaginal hysterectomy … which I had one week ago today. {Previous dr/s - including the one I had to change - were leery of this because of my previous surgeries. One even told me he wouldn’t touch me with a ten foot pole with all of the scar tissue – etc. to deal with}
At any rate, this morning I got the pathology result from the total hysterectomy … “Uterine Endometrial Complex Hyperplasia WITH Atypia … etc.” the next level of scariness – that almost always is the precursor to full blown cancer. I have no worries though – it is OUT OF ME!! Feeling so blessed … everything DOES happen for a reason!!
