Bladder pain after TVH and anterior repair

I had a vaginal hysterectomy and anterior repair done four weeks ago. I'm recovering well on the whole but I still find it quite painful and difficult to pee. i haven't got a UTI, it's just like my bladder won't empty easily and then spasms. I had to have a catheter in for the first week as I couldn't pee properly so I realise everything is probably still swollen and inflamed, but just wondered if any others had had this problem and how long it took to improve.

Sorry to hear you're still having issues. I had the same surgery done six weeks ago. I sometimes still get that odd feeling that I had for several days post-op when peeing. I'm beginning to think mine is when I need to have a BM and but my body isn't ready to go just yet! You may want to ask this on the Post-Op board - you might get more help there.
