Steamy Saturday August 4th

Everyone!

Hope all are having a lovely Saturday. Hot and steamy here. I am so ready for fall! Even though the weather we are having right now is pretty typical, we aren't setting records or anything.

Valorie, we have a motionless waterbed with a pillowtop case over the bed, so the sheets tuck in nicely underneath. I bought some California King sheets that work very well. I do have to pick up one end of the mattress to slip the sheets in underneath. Cute story on the picking up of the mattress. About 8 years ago or so I lost the diamond in my wedding ring I looked everywhere and could not find it. I was so upset Dh said he would buy me a new one, but that wasn't the point. Two weeks later I was putting clean sheets on the bed and I saw something sparkly, it was my diamond! I must have snagged the ring on the sheets and never noticed. And never thought to look there.

Will be an easy dinner this evening as dh has some ribs in the fridge from last weekend. I am going to reheat them on the I am going to have some veal cutlets. Veggie will be tomatoes w/ mozerella and olive oil and basil.

Quiet day thus far. I have finished my dh went to his office to do some rearranging.

Re: Steamy Saturday August 4th

Hi Kim and Valorie and PJ and maybe Nancy...

Started to write a couple of hours ago and got distracted with heavy discussion. It's over now and bedtime. Time just flies.

B was exciting, scrambled eggs and 50% Cabot cheddar, g.f. Bread, giant organic tomato from the neighbor. Then I baked some Hodgson Mill gluten free brownie mix and they were very good. Had to taste them several times. We will get them again, but will not have them ready to eat at all times or I will be in big trouble.
Lunch was not, better because I had pigged out in the morning.
Dinner was steamed salmon, big salad, big tomato, broccoli, and a brownie with fresh strawberries.

I did not drink enough water today. Did have a nice walk up the hill. Also introduced the topic of downsizing with my mother and sister. That was really bothering me, how to get the conversation started.

Hope to get back on schedule tomorrow but there seem to be so many surprises cropping up that require immediate attention, well, I will get here eventually and I read every post in our daily thread and I am so happy to have you all in my support group
