One ovary with some menopause symptoms

I had my vaginal hysterectomy with one ovary removed March 2011. I have has blood work done and my hormone level is 11. I still ovulate monthly but also have menopausal symptoms; hot flashes, night awful night sweats, facial hair I have tried an estrogen patch and an estrogen pill with no relief. I'm so confused and get no real help from my doctors. Any thoughts or experience would be very welcome to hear. Thank you in advance!! Have a wonderful day

I have similar issues with one ovary . I started birth control pulls this week to see if it would help - no effect yet. You don't say how old you are- I'm almost 50, had a LASH procedure in March. I actually had a mini period from my remaining cervical tissue last month! Very unusual according to my GYN!

Re: One ovary with some menopause symptoms

You might try something with black cohosh in it like Estroven, they make nighttime one as well. Supplements work a little differently than estrogen so be sure to give it a month or two to work fully.
