Hope after Da Vinci Surgery

Hi Everyone,

Today's my 3 month anniversary of having a total hysterectomy. I'm not gonna lie. It was a rough couple of months after the surgery. When I was finally cleared to exercise, have sex and return to work full time I was nervous. I kept expecting to relapse or have really crushing fatigue but I actually kept feeling better and better! (I was placed on Estrogel 2 weeks after surgery, worked brilliantly!)I did have a day here and there where I was more fatigued than normal or had a swollen belly but overall my energy has improved dramatically. I've returned to yoga and crossfit without any problems. I did notice I broke out worse than when I was a teenager. I tried the tumeric and water paste someone mentioned. It helped but I decided that I was giving up sugar for good and I mean completely! It made SUCH a huge difference in my skin clearing, getting a good night's sleep, not having sore muscles and got rid of all my GI issues. It only took my 20 years of continuosly improving my diet to get here but I've never felt better. I do allow myself a cheat day where I splurge on sugar free goodies, fried food or grains but my main diet is fruits, vegetables and protien. No dairy or sugar ever but grains once a week. I suffered from endometriosis, adenomyiosis? and fibroids. If I had known back then that I could live without pain and have the energy I had when I was 20 I would have done this a LONG time ago. The 2 months after surgery made me feel like this day would never come but I have to say I feel better than I ever expected. I've heard the horror stories of having pain and all the other symptoms after surgery. I was terrified but the pain of my condition exceeded the alternatives I tried for 13 years prior to this decision. I've lost weight since the surgery. It has been a real struggle but as I mentioned staying away from sugar, eating a healthy diet and exercise do work! Just give yourself time to heal and a committed decision to invest in your health and you can have your health AND body back. Love and Blessings, Jeanine
