Bilateral mastectomy and now hysterectomy

I had double preventative mastectomies and D&C in April and am in the midst of reconstruction. I was told I am hi risk for uterine cancer. I had ablation in 2009 and was told D&C would not impact ablation. Well, I started heavy bleeding 6 weeks after D&C and must now have TAH. I wish I had never consented to D&C, because I would not be losing my uterus and 1 remaining ovary now.

From reading the posts, no more sex drive and I guess my 31 yr marriage is over.

I suppose I will just shrivel up now. I think this surgery will take my life. I am planning to get my final papers in order. I don't know what else to do.

I did not lose my sex drive and I still look young for my age and feel like a woman. Hysterectomy is not the end of the road, only a another bump in the road on our journey in life.

I am sorry for all the things you have had to go through.
