Re: How long do i have to wait till i can have a bath?

My doc told me 2 weeks...and I *almost* made it....
I couldn't resist any longer (normally bath every night to relax) at 10 days po. I put epsom salts in and admitted my 'shame' to my doc at my 3 wk post op appt and she wasn't even a little concerned-- even saying it probably helped me start feeling myself faster. Phew!

Re: How long do i have to wait till i can have a bath?

Hi! I am only 2 days post-op, but my Dr. said it would be 12 weeks before bath, douche or swimming. A shower is fine next day after surgery. Hope that helps!

Mine said okay after six weeks but I'm waiting longer. Not sure why - just not that important and I don't want to risk any possible complications since I'm doing so well.

I too am a bath girl....not a fan of showers. I have an appt tomorrow and it will be my first question as I am 3 weeks 3 days....hope she says yes. I will go into a horrible depression if she tells me 3 more weeks...lol

As long as you're not still discharging (I am :-( ) then a bath should be ok.

Remember ladies, nothing goes in until the wound has healed, that includes bath water.

On a side note: I want my bath! *huffs*
