vaginal burning and pressure

Hi there,

Just wondering if any of you lovely ladies have any vaginal burning or a heavy dragging feeling or pressure in the lower pelvis or bladder area. I've had this for over 2 years now and have been diagnosed with endo. I had a lap a few wks ago where adhesions were cut and the endo was treated by diathermy but the above symptoms haven't eased in the slightest. I've seen a few docs but no one can give me any answers as to what this might be. I've been tested for infections and everything always comes back clear. I've read a bit about tension in the pelvic floor muscles and have been having hot baths at night and trying to do some stretching exrecises which helps a little but just feel really discouraged as had hoped once I'd had my lap this would have disappeared.

Any thoughts? Thanks in advance.

Has anyone tested you for Interstitial Cystitis (IC)? That might be at least part of the problem.

Have you ever asked for a referral to a pelvic floor physical therapist? If the issue is with muscles in the pelvic floor, that type of PT might be able to help.

I would suggest you keep a detailed symptom diary to share with your medical team. This can help them "see" what you are going through and can help with diagnosis.
